Privacy Policy for Wonderland Games

This Privacy Policy explains how Wonderland LLC (“Wonderland”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use a mobile, desktop, or other game published by Wonderland LLC that is built using our shared Mengine-based technology (each, a “Game”).

This is a company-wide policy based on the common services available through our game engine. Not every Game uses every feature or third-party service described below. The services actually enabled may depend on the Game, platform, country, and choices you make in the Game’s consent and system permission screens. A Game or store listing may provide additional title-specific information.

Wonderland LLC is the controller of personal data processed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. You can contact us at support@wonderland-games.com.

When data processing begins

Our engine separates data processing into the following categories:

  • Game operation and essential diagnostics. Services needed to create or restore the player account for the relevant Game, save progress, provide leaderboards, protect the service, investigate crashes, and maintain reliability may start when the Game launches. This may include PlayFab title services, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, and Datadog technical diagnostics.
  • Analytics and advertising. Firebase Analytics and advertising services are disabled until the required consent has been obtained. Where applicable, access to an advertising identifier or cross-app tracking is also subject to the platform’s permission, such as Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission.
  • Optional features. Social sign-in, profile import, notifications, purchases, and support communications process data only when you choose to use the feature or grant the corresponding system permission.

What data we may process

Depending on the Game and the features you use, we may process the following categories of data:

  • Game, installation, and account identifiers: a randomly generated Game or installation ID, session identifiers, a title-specific PlayFab player ID, and identifiers supplied by a platform or sign-in provider when you choose to link an account.
  • Optional profile information: a display name, social profile ID, email address, or profile image made available by Apple, Google, Facebook, or another sign-in provider, within the permissions you grant. A Game may use this information for account recovery, synchronization, leaderboards, or social features.
  • Device and network information: device model, operating system and version, device language, region and time zone, Game version and build, screen characteristics, network type, IP address, and identifiers assigned to the app or device.
  • Approximate location: country, region, or city inferred from an IP address or platform settings. Our shared engine does not require precise GPS location and is not designed to monitor your physical movement.
  • Gameplay and product interaction: sessions, progress, scores, achievements, levels, virtual currency, virtual items, leaderboard entries, feature use, button or screen interactions, and other events generated through use of the Game.
  • Purchase information: product identifier, transaction identifier, price, currency, purchase status, and entitlement or reward information supplied by the app store or payment platform. We do not receive or store your full payment card number, security code, or other card credentials.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports, stack traces, hangs, errors, warnings, performance and startup measurements, memory or resource use, app state, device state, timestamps, and technical logs needed to investigate failures and maintain the Game. We do not intentionally place passwords, access tokens, private messages, or payment card details in diagnostic logs.
  • Advertising data: advertising identifiers where permitted, consent and privacy choices, ad impressions, clicks, ad format and placement, advertising revenue events, and information used to prevent fraud and measure or personalize advertising.
  • Notifications: a push-notification token and notification preferences if you grant notification permission.
  • Support and communications: your email address and any text, files, screenshots, images, videos, or other information that you choose to send to technical support or through an official Wonderland community.

We do not intentionally collect health data, biometric data, precise location, contacts, or full payment credentials through the common engine services described in this Policy. A Game that introduces a feature requiring an additional category of data will provide an appropriate disclosure and permission request.

Why we process data

We may process data to:

  • provide, maintain, and secure the Game;
  • create a title-specific player account, save or restore progress, and synchronize supported features;
  • operate leaderboards, virtual items, virtual currency, purchases, and other gameplay services;
  • investigate crashes, errors, abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
  • measure performance and improve the stability, usability, balance, and content of our games;
  • provide analytics where you have given the required consent;
  • deliver, measure, and personalize advertising where permitted by your consent and platform settings;
  • send notifications that you have chosen to receive;
  • respond to support requests and communicate with you;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, our legal basis depends on the processing activity:

  • Performance of a contract: processing needed to provide the Game and features you request, such as player accounts, saved progress, leaderboards, purchases, and support.
  • Legitimate interests: essential diagnostics, service security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and improvement of reliability, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: analytics, personalized advertising, use of advertising identifiers or tracking where consent is required, optional profile connections, and notifications.
  • Legal obligation: processing required by tax, accounting, consumer-protection, law-enforcement, or other applicable legal requirements.

Where applicable law requires consent for a diagnostic or other service that we otherwise rely on as a legitimate interest, we will request that consent.

Analytics, diagnostics, and advertising

Essential diagnostics are separate from optional analytics. Crash, error, technical log, and performance information may be processed from launch to keep the Game secure and reliable. We use this information to reproduce failures, prioritize fixes, monitor releases, and prevent service abuse.

Firebase Analytics collection and advertising services are activated only after the required consent. You can review or change available choices from the privacy or consent control in the Game’s settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

On iOS, consent in our Game and Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission are separate controls. Denying tracking permission prevents access to the advertising identifier for tracking, but does not necessarily prevent contextual advertising, essential fraud prevention, or processing needed to deliver content over the network.

Third-party services

Our shared engine may use the following providers. The exact set depends on the relevant Game:

  • Microsoft PlayFab for title-specific player accounts, saved data, statistics, leaderboards, inventory, and backend functions. See PlayFab privacy and GDPR information.
  • Google Firebase for Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, and, after consent, Analytics. See Firebase Privacy and Security and the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Datadog for technical logs and operational diagnostics. See the Datadog Privacy Policy.
  • Google Mobile Ads, AppLovin, and their mediation partners for advertising in Games that contain ads, after the required consent. See the Google Privacy Policy and the AppLovin Privacy Policy. The consent interface may identify additional advertising partners used by a particular Game.
  • Meta when a Game offers optional Facebook Login, profile, or sharing features and you choose to use them. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
  • Apple, Google, Microsoft, and other platform operators for app distribution, platform sign-in, notifications, purchases, achievements, or other operating-system services. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

These providers may process data on our behalf as service providers or may act as independent controllers for some activities. Data may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or services, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal data for money.

International transfers

Wonderland and our providers may process data in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States and countries in which a provider operates. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, the Data Privacy Framework, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

How long we retain data

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Wonderland-controlled player data is generally retained while you use the relevant Game and for up to 30 months after your last activity, unless a shorter period applies or a longer period is required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or security purposes.

Diagnostic, analytics, advertising, transaction, backup, and provider-held data may have different retention periods. After a valid deletion request, deletion may take time to propagate through active systems, queues, backups, and subprocessors. We may retain information that has been irreversibly anonymized because it can no longer be linked to you.

Deleting player data

Where available, you can select Delete Player Data in the Game’s settings. After confirmation, the Game sends an authenticated request to delete the player account and gameplay data associated with that specific Game title, including applicable progress, statistics, leaderboard entries, inventory, virtual goods, and virtual currency. The request is irreversible and may take several minutes or longer to complete.

Deleting data for one Game does not delete data for another Wonderland game. Each title is treated independently because another game may use a different account, identifier, provider configuration, or legal basis and may not belong to the same player.

The in-Game deletion control is limited to data belonging to the selected title. Certain provider records, such as security records, transaction records, diagnostic events, legally required records, or data not stored in the title account, may be handled separately. To request access, export, correction, restriction, or broader erasure of personal data associated with a specific Game, contact support@wonderland-games.com and include the Game name and your player or support identifier. We may request reasonable verification before acting on a request.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • receive certain data in a portable format;
  • opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing where applicable;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority;
  • exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination.

You can manage available analytics and advertising choices through the consent control in the Game, manage notifications and tracking through device settings, disconnect optional social features where supported, use the title-specific deletion control, or contact us.

Children’s privacy

Our Games are not intended to knowingly solicit personal data from children under 13 or any higher minimum age required by local law unless a particular Game and its data practices are expressly designed and configured for children. We do not knowingly use personal data from children for personalized advertising. If you believe a child has provided personal data contrary to this Policy, contact support@wonderland-games.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our engine, games, providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where required by law.
